So I am doing a program called stronglifts. It's a 3x a week weightlifting program that is at its very core a TON of squats. 5 sets of 5 every other day. I am still at a fairly light weight, 170lbs but I can tell that the workouts are going to start getting much harder.
I am trying to get at least one Crossfit workout in each week also.

Spaghetti squash carbonara
Made spaghetti squash carbonara tonight for dinner! Was actually very good and 100%paleo and whole30.
They are saying we are supposed to get tons of snow this evening but I do have my doubts. Would love it if it happens though.

Lazy night
Just relaxing this evening watching once upon a time. Fun show.
I worked out earlier today; squats and strict presses and dead lifts. The presses are starting to get heavy but all the movements are still very doable.

First snow of the year!
We have been getting flurries for the last two days and finally have some that stuck around for more than a few hours. Still less than an inch but it's nice while it's here.
On that note it looks like Kent finally got it right and did a good job with the roads for once.

New blog-First Post
I have been chatting most of this evening with a friend who is setting up a business and going through the process of getting her name chosen, her web hosting and blogs and twitters and such and it struck me that I must be the worlds WORST blogger ever. So, I went in and I deleted my two previous blogs...they are GONE.
And then I decided it would be the perfect time to start a new one. My only requirement is ease of posting while on the road. Blogger seems to have a fairly good iPhone app so here we are!
I think what gives me the most trouble is trying to figure out how to interact on the different social media levels on an ongoing basis and still have a regular life. My main outlet is Facebook, followed by twitter and then a few forums that I read from quite a bit. I know that there are ways to tangle them all into one post but I don't want that right now. I think I want something that is separate from what Facebook has become...which is a big jumbled up mishmash of EVERYONE.
In the past I have tried to focus my blogs on specific items; project 365, food blogging...things like that. This time around the blog will focus on the things that happen most in my life and the way I see things in regards to that. At this point in my life, travel and fitness are pretty much the two things in life that I fixate on at this point so that is what I will be talking about.
Expect to hear about my workouts...what I think works and what does not. Lots of recipes and reviews of places I have had the opportunity to eat at and pictures that I take along the way. Most will be from my cell, some will be from the "real" camera when I have an opportunity to pull it out!
So here goes...third time is a charm right.
